自“三北”工程攻坚战打响以来，甘肃累计实施项目111个，争取中央资金81.76亿元，完成建设任务1784万亩。经过持续攻坚，全省“三北”工程区完成综合治理3758.21万亩，在河西走廊风沙前线成功构建起1482公里长的林草阻沙带，212个重点风沙口中有178个得到有效治理，古浪县239万亩沙化土地全部得到治理，沙患蔓延势头被有力遏制。民勤县380公里环绿洲锁边林草带全链条闭环围合，为“确保民勤不成为第二个罗布泊”打牢基础。从巴丹吉林沙漠南缘到腾格里沙漠边缘，甘肃不断加大科技支撑，因地制宜探索治沙模式，在无数治沙人的接续奋斗下，实现了从“沙进人退”到“绿进沙退”的历史性转变，生态屏障更加牢固。
