However, due to historical design choices and ongoing merge complexity, at one point we just couldn’t maintain this path and had to fall back to separate processes and multiple windows again. They still connect automatically (using a TCP layer instead of Steam Networking), and we do what we can to keep it coherent, but it pains me to see the single-window implementation go away because it was so much nicer to work with.
